Letting it Go
You know, farting out loud in our culture is not exactly socially acceptable...and then there are these kiddos that have no inkling about what is socially acceptable. They bring a smile to our face. I got this note from Nathan's peer tutor at school (that takes him to his "normal" classes). I'm sure that was an exciting day!
Like most kiddos on the spectrum, Nathan has issues with his bowels and has been known to release some toxic gas here and there. It makes our life exciting, and we have learned to quickly roll down the windows in our car if we want to be able to breathe.
My response to the peer tutor, "Sorry, he has no shame in 'letting it rip' as far as farting goes...and they usually are quite toxic. Sorry! Nothing you can do about it."
